COVID 19 Response Update: Masks Now Optional
UPDATED March 12, 2022 This Sunday will mark two years of pandemic disruption in our church rhythms. And so it is with perhaps special gratitude that the Pandemic Task Force has recommended to the Church Council that we adopt a mask-optional policy on the church...
In shaping our course over the past year and a half, our Pandemic Task Force has prioritized the safety and wellbeing of both our congregation as well as our wider community.
Though at times this has meant we must make sacrifices to gather as we would like, we understand the church’s role as a leader in our community and trust in the resilience of the church to make it through this long season with flexibility and imagination.
Because First Baptist is a multigenerational congregation who values the presence and inclusion of all ages and abilities, even as we begin to gather in person again, we continue to exercise caution and seek to provide as many ways as possible to participate online, both for worship, educational classes, and meetings.
We are grateful for members who have supported us through this challenging season and all those who have found us on these new platforms, and look forward to all the ways we learn and grow together.
