We are sad to announce that our guest preacher, former pastor Chuck Poole, is ill with the flu and will not be able to be with us for this Sunday’s Bicentennial Celebration. We will be sure to invite Chuck and Marcia to join us at another date during this anniversary year.
This Sunday, pastor Julie Long will share Chuck’s prepared words for us for this moment during worship. The joint Sunday School class at 9:45 will be led by Craig McMahan and will feature interviews with long-time church members about their recollections and reflections of their time in the church.
Join us at 9:45 for Sunday School in the Great Room, 11:00 for worship in the Sanctuary, and following worship for a celebration lunch in the Fellowship Hall.
We will dearly miss the Pooles, but it will still be a high and holy day at the Top of Poplar as we celebrate 200 years!
