Save the Date for “Around the Table” Gatherings
Creating Community through Conversations
Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, November 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Writer Tony Cartledge says, “Eating together is a powerful thing. Trying something new – or eating with people outside of our normal circle – can build community, broaden our perspectives, and even promote healthy changes in our attitudes.” Our fall “Around the Table” gatherings aim to do just that! Join a small group for dinner hosted in church member homes for a chance to eat together, build community, and have conversations about our shared lives and our community of faith. Members of the pastor search committee will attend each gathering to listen and learn.
Gatherings will be hosted in different geographic areas that represent our church membership. Participants are asked to sign up to attend a gathering in their area. Each host will set the menu and ask participants to bring a dish to share. Childcare for younger children (grade 5 and younger) will be offered at the church from 5-8 p.m. each of these evenings.
